There is an important distinction between 2 kinds of uploads:

- videos uploaded for the site are free, but don't contain any GPS data. Can be uploaded either automatically, or manually (using the Upload option). A few of these videos are available publicly on the site, but many more are kept private. Everything is in a streaming format (playable only through the website), the original files are not kept.

- videos uploaded to overlay GPS data. They consume credits, and after conversion, they can be downloaded in their (almost) original format, with speed, timestamp etc. overlaid on top of the video. Details are in the Overlays settings, and you initiate the upload with the "Overlay GPS data" option for each file. The sole reason to upload is just to overlay GPS data, as Android doesn't have this feature for videos.

In either case, videos can be uploaded by either temp or registered users.

Care to elaborate on this admin? Im sure many of us are asking similar questions.

There is no difference on the server between temp and registered usernames. Uploads are accepted from both. I sent you a mail, trying to debug this further...
