Daily Roads Good For Truck Drivers

Today I tested Daily Roads in my truck. This is a great tool and will add some protection from irrate motorists that like to call company transportation office claiming one the company trucks cut them off.

Now I can show them what truly happened.

Thanks Dily Roads for this great App

I've been using Daily Roads since the last week of October on my Moto Droid R2D2. I'm a truck driver as well and have taken time to try out several of the blackbox recorders available. At first, I was having difficulty with videos reliably saving to my device. But since the latest update that fixed several motorola issues, it's been working great.
Luckily, I haven't had to submit any videos as "evidence" just yet, and knock on wood, hopefully never do.
I'm particularly fond of the quality of the image I'm able to get as I'm driving. Other systems greatly compressed the image, reducing the quality, and in my opinion, rendered it useless as a video recorder since it lacks clarity needed in accident situations, or in the ability to use the video for fun. I'm very happy with the ability to choose the resolution with several reasonable choices.
As a professional driver, I do use the application to cover me in less than safe situations, such as heavy traffic, bad weather, and so on, but I also use it recreationally on some of the more scenic drives I get to take. I'm hoping that there will be the ability to direct upload to facebook in the future, and perhaps even be able to set up MMS to contacts (I have a couple that would love pics sent to their phones directly.)
As far as audio goes, it's the only area that I see the program lacking. The default video recorder can reproduce nearly perfectly the sounds that happen in the truck. May i suggest a selection of audio quality as well. I ask this, because if that were able to be done, it would make Daily Roads superior to even the default video recorder in pretty much every way.
All in all, since the recent upgrade, I'm very happy with the development of this very useful and fun application. It has great potential to be the best driving recorder on the market. The data collected goes far beyond simply getting the video. It gets so much more information together to uphold the video in a legal environment that's prejudice to digital evidence. --Thank you DR.

I'm a truckers too, this was my main focus for installing this program, too. I am hoping this service never fails, I can't tell you how much it saved me from being the blame on a recent accident. A driver cut me off hitting my truck on drivers side corner, driver tried to state I ran into him. When police arrived, police looked at the scene, assessed the statements with scene and were believing the driver of the car...I said wait a minute, let me show u something......driver of car insurance now paid my company $8000 in damages to get my truck fixed. Thank you! This would had went on my record. This saved me!

Thanks for sharing how you use Voyager! It is always nice to hear people like my app. When you catch something interesting on video, please upload so we can all see. And spread the word among your trucker friends. Thanks!
