Changes in Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

We are working on the next update of the site, trying to improve the user experience, and providing easy access to relevant content. Currently, many uploaded videos are kept private, because that is the default setting in DailyRoads Voyager (our Android app). As a consequence, these videos are just sitting there, without being watched by anybody. There are also upload tests, which clutter the database, and make it hard to find relevant videos to watch. Also, as the number of uploaded files continues to grow, so is our storage cost.

To organize the interesting content better, a cleanup process was devised, which also influences our terms of use. Essentially, we are committed to host for free only geotagged content. This means that each uploaded video/photo should have corresponding geographic coordinates. When you upload through DailyRoads Voyager, these coordinates are automatically attached (if GPS was enabled on your device). In case of a manual upload (through a web browser) you have the option to specify the location on a map.

If no location is assigned within 10 days of the upload, we reserve the right to permanently delete from our system that video or photo (and all associated content). For the existing content already uploaded until today, we start the cleanup process on June 15, 2012. If you’d like to keep your uploaded files on DailyRoads.com, please make sure you specify a geographic location for each file, so there is a proper map displayed next to that video/photo.

Currently, uploaded video/photo files can be set as private. After July 1, 2012 any uploaded file may be displayed to others, but without any audio or textual identification (username, title, description or tags). This means that only your identity, in-video conversations and the texts you specify can remain private, but not the video/photo content itself. If there is anything in the video/photo you don't want others to see, please do not upload, or delete from our system (if already uploaded).

Unfortunately, I could not run the HTC Legend mobile. I do not know how to start recording.
